Before you rely on the result: A prompt to consider referral for a full diagnostic assessment, not a diagnostic test. A low score does not exclude autism. NICE CG142 uses it for adults without a moderate or severe learning disability, and offers a comprehensive assessment for a score above 6, or whenever autism is suspected on clinical judgement.
