SNOMED codes that cannot be invented

Codes are looked up live from the NHS England Terminology Server, never written by an AI, so an invented or retired code is impossible. A queried diagnosis is deliberately left uncoded: if you said "?MI", nothing is offered for it. Copy what fits into EMIS or SystmOne, dismiss the rest.

Consent is a gate, not a reminder

Recording cannot begin until you confirm the patient was told and agreed, and the server refuses to transcribe a consultation that carries no confirmation. The date and time are kept on the consultation, so you can show it was done.

Your notes become your appraisal

Finish a consultation and Whisper offers the matching article from our clinical library, the CPD you can claim for reading it, and reflection prompts for your appraisal or portfolio. Only the note's topic is used, never the patient.

Built to the standard we would accept for our own patients

Whisper was designed by practising UK GPs. Every claim below is one we can evidence, and your information governance team is welcome to ask for it.

Your audio is deleted, and we can prove it

The recording is used once, to write your note, then deleted. It is never stored on our servers, never archived, and never used to train AI models, by us or by any provider we use. We record the moment each deletion is confirmed, so we can evidence it rather than just promise it.

UK GDPR compliant

Whisper is built to UK GDPR standards from day one. Transcription and note writing run on European infrastructure, so your consultation data never leaves the UK and EU during processing.

No patient names, ever

Whisper is built so that no patient name is stored with any note. You confirm patient consent before recording, and a reminder appears every time you start.

You hold the delete button

Every note can be deleted by you at any moment, and closing your account erases your consultation history completely. Everything travels encrypted.

MHRA-registered Class I medical device

Whisper is registered with the MHRA as a Class I medical device (UKCA, UK MDR 2002), publicly verifiable on the MHRA registration database.

Cyber Essentials certified

GPAtlas is independently assessed and certified under the UK Government's Cyber Essentials scheme, whole organisation.

Independently penetration tested by a CREST-accredited provider. The assurance letter is available to practices and NHS organisations on request.

Coding straight from the NHS source

Suggested SNOMED CT codes come live from the NHS England Terminology Server, the same national source your clinical system uses. GPAtlas Ltd is registered with NHS England's Organisation Data Service under code U6O6I.
